Nke proposes dedicated to the analysis of climatic phenomena and changes in oceans Nke has a wealth of experience in the design and manufacture of equipment useful to oceanographers, a dedicated team specialized in drifting buoys and profilers has been recently integrated with:

  • profiling floats developed in partnership with IFREMER for the ARGO program. These profiling floats allow a 3 dimensional view of the ocean by making salinity and temperature measurements: PROVOR CTS3_DO
  • profiling floats equipped with various sensors such as dissolved oxygen sensors: PROVOR DO and also acoustic (Rafos) and optical, using ARGOS or IRIDIUM transmission.
  • drifting measurement buoys equipped with ARGOS transmission and with a sea anchor to carry out monitoring of oceanic currents: SC 40, SC 40 G5
  • Automatic buoys fitted with a spectrophotometer to measure pCO2 dissolved in sea water: CARIOCA
ARGOS and IRIDIUM satellites transmission vectors are used. Profiler technical team is also involved in European scientific projects such as DAMOCLES, NOSS, and SWARM, contribute to the EUROARGO project
