Politique Qualité

« Reliability in innovation »

The quality assurance system is the base system of the company. It defines the organisation, the processes for sales, design and manufacture, the functions of the people involved, the organisation chart, the means of control and measurement of the efficiency, both global and by sector.

« Men are the foundation of any company ». Staff training is essential to maintain our objectives. It is either done externally or internally, since many modules corresponding to our know-how have been defined. Approximately 10% of the staff has attended training from an internal instructor.

The document « quality events of the week » is part of the weekly reporting from the management.

History

Created in 1984 under the name Micrel, the company has developed as an engineering and design company with its first customers such as the local foundry SBFM (control equipment that has become Expertest), Ifremer, Fichet Bauche (electronic locks) and nke (electronic systems for sailboats).

As early as 1988, Micrel develops, in addition to its engineering and design capacity, a policy for the sale of products for its own self on niche markets. These first markets are the Expertest control equipment and the data-loggers for oceanography. It adds to these fields a scientific sounder in 1990, the regulation control of electric radiators in 1992 and acquires its client nke in 1998, Micrel-nke then extends its turnover to 3.2 million euros with 43 staff.

In 2001, Micrel-nke is bought by its current corporate executive who develops its four offers on the market in France and internationally : custom design studies, electronic systems for performance sailboats, electronic systems for oceanographic instrumentation and control by sound resonance, and regulation electronic systems for electric heating.

At the end of 2004, Micrel-nke buys Headway Concept, company located in Lorient which has launched two innovative products for the performance sailing : Echospeed and Proteus ;

In June 2005, since the name Micrel cannot be used for export, « Micrel-Nke » becomes « Nke »
